American Express Travellers Cheques are convenient, easy to use and are accepted worldwide in around 80,000 shops, hotels and banks.

You can generally replace lost or stolen American Express Travellers Cheques within 24 hours.
ANZ will hand you a receipt from American Express at the time of sale, which has all the details on how to claim if your cheques are lost or stolen. Claims are handled 24 hours a day, seven days a week.
Contact American Express immediately if your Travellers Cheques are lost or stolen.
The receipt given to you by ANZ upon purchase will show the serial numbers of the cheques you've been issued.

ANZ Gold and Platinum cardholders are entitled to purchase travellers cheques commission-free from any ANZ branch in New Zealand (not available via ANZ Internet Banking).
ANZ Phone Direct and Internet Banking services are only available to ANZ customers. Transactional and daily dollar limits apply. ANZ Phone Direct International Services is only available between 8.30am and 5.00pm Monday to Friday (New Zealand time) excluding New Zealand public holidays.
Foreign currency accounts are only available via ANZ Phone Direct International Services, if in the exact same names as the domestic account registered.
ANZ Internet Banking International Services can only be used when paying from a New Zealand dollar account.
