To apply for an ANZ Personal Loan or ANZ Debt Consolidation Loan online:
- you must be over 18 years old
- you must be a permanent New Zealand resident
- no more than two people can apply jointly
- you must be applying for $3,000 or more. If you'd like to borrow less than this, an ANZ credit card may suit you better.

If you don't meet these requirements, please phone us on 0800 837 123 or send us an email with the details.

To help us assess your loan application quickly, please provide the following information:
If you're an existing ANZ customer:
Proof of your income
If your wages/salary have been deposited into an ANZ bank account in the last three months, we'll verify your income from your account information. If not, we'll need to see one of three things:
- one payslip dated within the last four weeks showing year-to-date figures; or
- one payslip dated within the last four weeks showing your annual base income; or
- a letter from your employer on their letterhead, dated within the last four weeks and confirming your annual income and employment type (eg full or part time).
If you're applying online, we'll phone you when we receive your application to discuss the easiest way for you to provide this information.
Customers new to ANZ:
You don't need to be an existing ANZ customer to have an ANZ Personal Loan. However, as well as proof of income listed above, we'll need to see:
- some identification: two forms of photo ID (your passport, driver's licence, firearms licence, official Government photo-ID card, or another bank's photo-ID card) or one form of photo ID and one form of non-photo ID.
- verification of your address (with a current bank statement, rates notice, tax assessment or power, phone or gas bill).
What if I'm self-employed?
Please provide copies of your last two years' balance sheets/annual accounts and profit and loss statements, and copies of your personal tax return
What if I have other income (eg rent, dividends)?
Please phone us on 0800 837 123 and we'll let you know whether you need to provide any more information.
